Słodkiego Miłego Życia (Kombi) / Miau (Kukulska) / Nie ma Wody na Pustyni (Bajm)
Comissioned for the 2019 ‘Juwenalia’ (i.e. end of year celebrations) at my alma mater, the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, this medley of Polish hit songs was performed by the university’s symphony orchestra and chorus, conducted by Zofia Kiniorska and frontlined by the legendary Natalia Kukulska.
Writing for the Juwenalia has been a regular commission for me, having written other symphonic pop arrangements for the 2018, 2022, and 2023 celebrations. This one holds a special place for me, for the quality of the collaboration, the performance, and the mix and master by Łukasz Zięba.
